As the year’s first WPT event kicks off in Abu Dhabi, we take a look at some exciting new partnerships for the 2023 season. There have been quite a few changes to partnerships, and some very exciting new teams have been formed this season, so here’s a quick rundown of those changes and who’s worth keeping an eye on.
We recently did a poll on our Instagram account, with almost 4,000 followers, we asked whether LeBron and Garland would remain No. exciting young partner coelo and tapia Will get there by the end of the season. Without a doubt, the most exciting pair are the young stars, but can they beat the undeniably talented and powerful team of LeBron and Garland?
Another exciting partnership is dinino and stupac zouk, nicknamed the “Superkids” because they dominated the teenage divisions growing up together in Argentina. They then moved to Spain together to participate in the WPT. Di Nenno was involved in a near-fatal car crash in early 2016 that sent Stupaczuk on their way, but now the ‘superkids’ are back after a seven-year gap. “Stupa” enjoyed a successful 2022 with Pablo Lima, reaching five finals and winning the French Open Padel. Stupac Zucker has won at least one title in the past eight seasons. Dinino leaves super talented Paquito Navarro behind, even though they are one step away from the 2022 world rankings. Dinino and Navarro brought us some exciting matches last year, however, they decided to part ways after their final match in 2022. Santander, they won.
Argentine “Sanyo” Gutierrez and Fernando Berastekin will also reunite to create another powerful force for the 2023 circuit. Gutierrez and Berastekin, both former world No. 1s, will try again to reach the top. The two of them have won a combined 102 WPT titles, so this is a team with a lot of experience and a winning mentality to keep an eye on.
Paquito Navarro to join Bullpadel player Juan Tello This season, Paquito will move to a position he is less familiar with on the right. Both have extraordinary talents and great accomplishments, and it will be exciting to see how they get along.
Juan LeBron and Alejandro Garland will still be teaming up for another season. We’re still picking them to keep the No. 1 spot this year, but it’s sure to be a great season, and we can’t wait to watch.
