Calling all cricket lovers in Plymouth, Maldon, Wirral and North London Bush!
We are delighted to announce that not one, but four exciting cricket leagues are taking place simultaneously in your area.
Whether you are an experienced player or just starting out, these leagues provide the perfect platform to showcase your skills, meet like-minded players and experience the fun and excitement of competitive cricket.
Each league consists of at least two tiers, with relegation and relegation at the end of each round! Fees for the league will be based on the number of participants, but will include pitch fees (at a discounted rate) for games and a tube between each pair. Plymouth Padel League (PPL) – Round 2:
The second round of the Plymouth Padel League (PPL) is back! Padel Union League Rules & date
- Application Deadline: 30/06/2023
- League start date: March 7, 2023
- League end date: April 9, 2023
Rules and Useful Information
- A maximum of 10 minutes of warm-up time on court
- Match time exceeds 120 minutes (including on-court warm-up)
- The game is divided into 3 sets, just like a 6-6 tie in tennis. (Please note: not best of three, but three sets)
- Normal split 40-40
- The game ends when 3 innings are played or when the game time is up.
- Change teams after every odd number of games played.
- In each game, the two teams have a total of 6 points
- Round winner gets 2 points (per round)
- If the leading team leads by 2 innings or more, the incomplete team will be awarded 1.5 points. 0.5 points for the team behind (Example: 4-2 at the end of the game, 1.5 points for the team with 4 games, 0.5 points for the team behind)
- When the points are tied, each team gets 1 point
- Leading by only 1 frame is considered a tie; 1 point each (eg: at the end of the game time, if the score is 3-2, it is considered a tie and both sides get 1 point)
- 1 point per team for games that have not yet started
- When the time is up, unfinished points do not count, and unfinished games or tie-breaks do not count
- If one player concedes or forfeit a match, the other player wins by forfeiting (wo), which gives the ‘winning’ player 4 points and the losing team 0
- If a team/player of a team is more than 30 minutes late for a game, the other team will pass a forfeit (wo) which will give 4 points to the ‘winning’ player and 4 points to the losing player Team gets 0 points
