GAME4PADEL National Development Manager James Rose hailed the launch of our new Oliva Nova Beach and Golf Resort facility as “a great start to a truly exciting project”.
Oliva Nova is located on the Mediterranean coast between Valencia (Gandía) and Alicante (Denia), backed by the sea and mountains, and bathed in the Spanish sun.
Our state-of-the-art seven-seat Mondo Super Court was unveiled last weekend at a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Oliva Nova Resorts Director General Luis Borho and Mayor Yolanda Balaguer, among other local dignitaries, in the presence of half the council. Game4Padel team and padel MBA coach legend Manu Martin.
Assessing what this ground-breaking development means for Game4Padel and our members, James said: “Given our schedule over the Easter weekend, I am very pleased with how the opening went. Happy to have worked together to make this happen, how it looks and works, and we were lucky enough to have good weather. Indeed, a great start to a very exciting project.
“Similar to how we work in the UK, we will be partnering with Oliva Nova to provide cricket expertise while also enabling them to deliver a quality product to their guests and the local community, last weekend demonstrated just how strong our partnership with Oliva is Nova is.
“They host top equestrian events at the resort and recently over 1000 horses attended a major grand prix there and they know what they do commercially in terms of promoting the event. So for Game4Padel we will be managing the course , Install the coaching program and make sure it is multifaceted.
“We will have a lot of groups coming for padel holidays and clinics, guests staying at the resort in July and August will use the pitch, and outside of these months we will have football teams using it as part of their training, we will host Events, tournaments and clinics organized jointly by corporate events and Padel MBA.”
James added: “This will really complement what we’re doing in the UK, as we’ve always wanted to have a resort in Spain. If you’re a Game4Padel member in the UK, you’ll also get discounts on Oliva Nova’s course.
“We also now have the ability to host various levels of competition for people from various countries as well as the local big game teams, which I think will be a lovely fusion.
“In this regard, on our website we will have a specific section for padel holidays with Oliva Nova and an instructor about what we do there with the padel MBA Part of that, so it’s really important to watch this space on social media. The media and our pages.”
James was keen to give Game4Padel a truly memorable launch weekend at the Oliva Nova Beach and Golf Resort: “On Thursday, we had a test run ahead of the launch weekend, which included key staff from the resort and Oliva Nova Staff, they night, we were invited to Americano (tournament), we had a show and music and had a great time together for hours.
“It also provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase what Game4Padel is all about. Also Michael Gradon, Peter Gordon and Ali Gordon were all there to help show It’s a great atmosphere to understand the essence of padel and how we work.
“As always, people were nervous at first, like: ‘I don’t know what I’m doing, I can’t play!’ After two rounds they were all laughing and chatting and we couldn’t get them off the pitch at the end – it It’s a great question!”
The 9am-1pm welcome on Friday was buzzing with great response from local residents, and the 1pm exhibition race was well under way before the afternoon welcome began.
In the evening, participants took part in a Padel MBA Masterclass by the great Manu Martin and his team, followed by an evening exhibition match and concluding with a barbecue on the superb padel terrace for a great day Draw a perfect ending.

“I must also mention that Manu Martin gave this venue a very good endorsement, which is lovely and very much appreciated.
“There were still a lot of families and kids playing there with some unbelievable players and some who hadn’t played before – but they all came together and it was a really good weekend.”
Striker James revealed that Oliva Nova’s Game4Padel competition is running full steam ahead, saying: “The course opened on Monday morning, we got the first bookings which is exciting and now we will start planning for the big Spanish holiday of five weekends in May (San Isidro), and of course there will be more clinics as things develop.
“Then we start to have groups coming here for cricket weekends and clinics, July, August will be very busy with all the clients staying at the resort, a lot of cricket fans from Madrid.
“From September to the end of the year there will be more padel MBA clinics, CPC (coach training) courses, businesses from the UK and padel athletes for padel holidays. In fact, the hotel has already received more than 50 padel Big pre-orders for players, so the news is out!
“The padel plaza is in the heart of the resort. When you play at the cricket ground you can see people tee off on hole 1 and finish on hole 18. The cricket changing facilities are connected to the clubhouse and cricket shop.
“Oliva Nova is a special place with great restaurants and beautiful views, and everyone at Game4Padel is very excited about our future with the resort.”
