With the theme of women’s competition, the second race of the Padel Super Tour season officially opened.
The official launch of the Premier Padel Italy Major, the second edition of the prestigious event, took place in Rome on Wednesday. The event highlighted the inclusion of the women’s division, which will be the first since the tour was established more than a year ago.
The event was attended by a number of prominent personalities from the cricket world, including officials from the Italian Tennis and Cricket Federation, Tour representatives, the FIP President and other dignitaries.
Luigi Carraro, president of the International Padel Federation, expressed satisfaction with Rome hosting the event for the second year in a row: “A year ago, because of the charm and enthusiasm of the public, all the players defined the Rome event as the most beautiful event. I believe that this year the athletes and fans will bring us stronger emotions.”
Women’s draw debut at padel super
Premier Padel Board Member Ziad Hammoud stressed the importance of including the women’s division in Premier Padel as an important step in the development of women’s padel tennis: “This is a historic moment, the first ever Premier Padel We will welcome our talented male and female athletes to compete at the same time,” he said.
The event, which will take place in Rome’s iconic Piazza Italia from July 10-16, is expected to be a huge success again after the first edition.
