One of the great things about playing cricket at the Padel4all Center is that you can play cricket all year round on our covered pitches, whatever the weather.
Unlike most other cricket centers which only have outdoor pitches where you can be exposed to the elements, cricket can be played all year round.
That means you won’t miss out on that addictive new sport you just discovered. Even better, you can stay fit throughout the winter so that when the weather warms up, you won’t feel like you just woke up from hibernation.
Benefits of playing cricket year-round
Yes, like tennis, paddle tennis is a great game to play in the warmer months of spring and summer. But it’s also fun to play in winter. And if you’re planning to play some championships in the warmer months, you’re already ahead of your competitors, with all the winter practice behind you.
It’s not just your technique that improves. Your stamina and strength (muscle tone) will also be improved. You’ll also burn calories to compensate for all the sugar temptations at Christmas. Plus, it’s good for your mental health: Play cricket regularly and you’ll feel more relaxed, not to mention you’ll sleep better at night too.
what to wear when playing cricket
While playing outdoors in winter requires extra layers of clothing, playing cricket in a covered area means that once you’re done warming up, you can wear just a t-shirt, so there’s no need to buy seasonal sportswear.
Warm up every time you play
Whenever you play any sport, it’s important to warm up before a game. You also have to stretch the muscles gradually to avoid straining the calf muscles or something like that. This is especially important in winter when you have just returned from the cold.
For the same reason, make sure to do a proper warm-up and stretch right after the game while keeping your muscles warm. That way, you’ll eliminate all the lactic acid from your muscles, and you won’t feel stiff for days afterward.
