On Saturday we had our first super social meeting of the year. The eight attendees took turns playing a game of cricket before wrapping up the session with a delicious bacon bun and coffee!
Thorpe Bay Lawn Tennis Club also visited us on Saturday. They booked all 3 covered courts for 2 hours with 16 tennis players to give padel a try. It’s great to see such big results and to see people try a new sport!
The padel championship series kicked off on Sunday with some great padel players competing throughout the day. Group one winners Nicole and Trevor remain unbeaten, as do group two winners James and Rose. The winners of the third group were Gary and Steve, while the eventual winners of the fourth group were Aston and James, who defeated Stewart and Richard in a tense play-off final. Zach (head coach of Garon Park) said that he is very much looking forward to the next padel series!
