The APT Padel Circuit is an international padel circuit established in 2020 to promote the sport of padel worldwide.
The professional tour currently visits 12 countries around the world, almost twice as many as the WPT (World Padel Tour), and this year will add 1 more country to the list, South Africa! APT is currently taking place in Paraguay, Monaco, Belgium, Argentina, USA, France, Mexico, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Portugal, Sweden and now it’s coming to South Africa!
APT tour will be held in Cape Town from the 18ththe th to 24the th April 2022, hosted by Africa Padel in Camps Bay. The beautiful city of Cape Town will be the venue for the inaugural APT Masters.
A total of 44 teams participated, including 28 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams. South African padel players will have the opportunity to participate in this tournament as a South African team will be awarded a wild card.This qualifier will be held in Africa Padel, between the top 15the th and 17the th April.
The total prize money for the tournament is US$135,000, which is currently just under R2 million.
